Welcome to an inside look at the Lorain County JVS

Welcome to our world! The “I’m What Works at the JVS” project will feature student-driven video “storytelling” to share with you our wonderful students, staff, and state-of-the-art facilities — all working for the future of Lorain County and northeast Ohio.

Throughout the year, our high school and adult students will be tasked with “secret-mission assignments” to show you, through Flip video technology:

  • Some of the personalities and life stories of students enrolled at the JVS high school and adult career center;
  • The staff members who dedicate their lives to career-tech instruction through hands-on learning opportunities;
  • An inside look at the programs and state of the art facilities available at the JVS;
  • The administrative philosophy about the strengths and importance of career-tech in today’s tough economy; and
  • The ways our students and staff give back to the community through programs open to the public, as well as community service projects and fundraising.

And while the above features the primary goals of this program, we have a feeling our students will unveil some surprises for you–and us–as well…that’s one of the great things about the work that we do. So please, let us know what you think! We hope you enjoy what our students put together for you!
